ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Copywriter at Outcode Software, you’ll be responsible for brand and marketing copy we produce for our brand and the clients we serve. This role requires strong copywriting, grammatical, proofreading and communication skills, so if you’re excited about working with cutting-edge technology and want to help us build the best software in the industry, we want to hear from you ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Crafting compelling and persuasive written content for advertisements, marketing materials, websites, social media, emails, blog, product descriptions, and more.
  • Conducting research to understand the target audience, market trends, and competitors to tailor the messaging effectively.
  • Collaborating with clients, marketing teams, designers, and other stakeholders to develop creative concepts and ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging.
  • Adhering to brand guidelines and style guides while maintaining creativity and originality in the copy.
  • Editing and proofreading copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness.
  • Writing engaging headlines, taglines, and bodycopy to capture attention and convey key messages succinctly.
  • Adapting writing style and tone to suit different platforms, audiences, and communication channels.
  • Keeping on top of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve writing skills and stay competitive.
  • Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Marketing or related field
  • 2 – 3 years of marketing communications or writing experience. Bonus points for experience in the tech space, in-house creative department or advertising agency.
  • A portfolio of the style and type of copy you have created
  • Strong copywriting, grammatical, proofreading and communication skills
  • The ability to use chatGPT or other AI to assist amd speed up your process
  • Understanding of online advertising, blog and social media
  • Ability to work quickly within a deadline
  • Excellent project management and people skills
  • Ability to give and take constructive feedback
  • Experience working with the AP Style Guide
  • Attention to detail and not adverse to bad puns or otherwise terrible jokes
  • Willing to read list items that have nothing to do with the list itself
  • Passion for developing ideas, exploring new perspectives and solving problems
  • Ability to work in a team environment with staff at all levels
  • Can spell better than our designers
  • Creative thinker & problem solver
  • Hawk-eye level proofreading skills
