This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Patient Access Associate to work in our busy Chesterbrook, PA office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, daytime hours, 7:00AM-3:30PM.

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the Patient Financial Navigator is responsible for:

  • Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained and entered in the system in an accurate manner.
  • Ensures that intake financial documents (financial policy and insurance waivers) have been received, signed, and entered in the system in an accurate manner.
  • Schedules consults with new patients to introduce the patient financial journey, at least 20 per day.
  • Document new patient activities in the financial module, which includes discussions surrounding patient financial obligations and billing practices.
  • Provides patients with preliminary information surrounding
  • Self Pay programs (i.e. Global, Shared Risk, etc), outside assistance opportunities (i.e. financing, grants).
  • Transitions patient to the Financial Counselor team once all pre-screening and diagnostic testing is completed and a treatment plan is in place.
  • Manage and maintain the patient portal, with the expectation that correspondence is completed within 2 business days.
  • Manage and maintain voicemails, with the expectation that patients receive a call back within 2 business days.
  • Obtain authorization for pre-screening services provided by SGF.
  • Calculate and collect deposits for procedures at pre-service or at the point of service
  • Post collected deposits, to include balancing daily close out into practice management system.

What You'll Bring:

The skills and education we need are:

  • High school diploma and at least two years of medical business office experience including insurance procedures, patient interaction, and health records systems experience required.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office is required.
  • Insurance knowledge requirements including: Understanding of medical terminology, Managed care authorization process, ICD9 and CPT codes, Collection experience, Ability to calculate and collect patients’ responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance
  • Computer literacy required. Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and proficient with a variety of hardware and software applications.
