About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and passionate leader for our next Executive Director. We partner with children and adults to provide individualized services that foster learning, independence and growth. The Executive Director is responsible for administrative management of the agency, implementation of policies, directives, annual goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors, and enthusiasm for our mission.

LAUNCH was founded on and still adheres to the importance of relationships. Our size allows us to know our staff and clients as well as being able to pivot when changes are needed. We value the partnerships we have throughout the CNY and human services communities and work to nurture those relationships.

Our agency culture is based on creating relationships and providing high-quality services to launch our clients forward in their journey towards greater independence. Responsibilities Include:

Agency Leadership

  • Leadership of agency staff of 40
  • Direct supervision of management team

Financial Management

  • Budget and fiscal management of a $2,000,000 budget with many funding sources
  • Contract management
  • Manage fund development and donor activities
  • Grant writing

Program Management

  • Oversight and accountability for agency programs
  • Performance and risk management for programs

Work with Board of Directors

  • Assists Board of Directors in setting and achieving goals and strategic priorities
  • Support all activities associated with Board of Directors

Engage with Stakeholders

  • Support clients and their families and our mission
  • Advocate on behalf of the agency and its clients to state and location associations and community groups

Skills, Abilities and Conditions of Employment:

We're looking for someone with outstanding communication, project management, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, along with the ability to develop constructive relationships and adapt to changing work demands.


Education & Experience:

  • Business, special education, human services, social work or related field. Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred.
  • Must have experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Minimum of three years in Senior Management or 8 years of progressive management experience preferred.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and transportation to meet program needs.
