The DOT Administrator serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring that our clients meet all necessary requirements and are equipped with the knowledge and resources to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Through effective communication and collaboration, the DOT Administrator will play a crucial role in empowering our clients to prevent tragedy and establish a strong culture of safety within their organizations. This role provides direct support to clients, helping them achieve and maintain compliance with DOT regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Administer all aspects of Driver Qualification File processing for customers.

  • Serve as a designated employer representative and point of contact for the CDL driver Drug and Alcohol program.

  • Analyze customer compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety.

  • In partnership with safety operations, provide consultation to customers on DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations, driver safety training and safety requirements, and company policies.

  • Manage annual and periodic compliance requirements such as annual motor vehicle reports (MVR) and annual limited queries (FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse) for customers.

  • Develop and provide regular reporting, audits, and training on DOT and FMCSA requirements.

  • Organize daily client training classes as applicable.

  • Assist with drug and alcohol screening collections.

  • Perform data entry on behalf of clients.

  • Process and review Internal data.

Qualified candidates must have the following competencies and qualities:

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Capable of professionally and accurately conducting repetitive essential tasks

  • Capable of processing information quickly and developing solutions “on-the-fly”

  • Ability to interpret & communicate complex ideas effectively to a wide range of audiences.

  • Comfortable learning proprietary software

Education, Experience, and CertificationsRequired
  • High school diploma required, any college education preferred.

  • Willingness to work in Mobile, AL at our corporate headquarters

  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred
  • DOT and FMCSA and/or medical office setting experience

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

In most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space.

Travel

This role requires occasional local travel.
