The Company
Alsana is an eating disorder recovery community with 11 locations nationwide plus our virtual program. We provide superior and committed care to help those on their journey to a healthy and successful recovery. From the Latin roots meaning “all” or “total health,” Alsana offers a new philosophy of care centered on our clients’ full well-being. We address the aspects of eating disorders that often go untreated in traditional recovery programs. The Role
As the Admissions Counselor at Alsana, you will be responsible for leading potential clients through the process of admission to gain access to the level of care they need. Some of your duties include answering inquiry calls and receiving new cases. Once a case is opened, you will function as a case manager, guiding the client through the entire admissions process, and acting as their point person.
Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and logging data
- Scheduling intake screenings
- Guiding clients through medical clearance needs and requirements
- Coordinating with outside treatment providers
- Managing the process of insurance collection and collaborating with our verification specialist
- Preparing clients for admission and coordinating the admission with the on-site team
- Performing all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related mental health degree
- Conversion (sales) minded with an ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to manage and process, contain crisis, and work within a system with many moving parts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Computer Skills – Must have general knowledge of PCs and be proficient in a Windows environment. Requires ability to access and update information in a computer system.
- Interpersonal/Computer Skills – Must be able to read, write and speak fluently and effectively in English.
- Other Skills and Abilities – Good written and oral communication skills.
Hourly rate is $22-$24 per hour.
