Job DescriptionJob Description

This position is responsible for planning and overseeing the annual budgeting process, quarterly re-forecasting process, and weekly cash flow forecasting. Additionally, the role involves performing financial analysis to support the company’s major business decisions, strategy, and overall financial health. The manager will develop accurate forecasts based on historical data and create detailed reports to identify data anomalies, trends, or deviations. The manager will also introduce strategies and make recommendations for improvement to senior management.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes to ensure accurate and timely financial projections.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Analyze actual financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Compile weekly cash flow forecasts and perform detailed analysis to ensure optimal liquidity management.
  • Ensure that financial reports are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered on time.
  • Develop ad hoc forecasting models to provide stakeholders with detailed and meaningful insights on business performance.
  • Implement and manage financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support management in decision-making processes.
  • All other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with master’s degree preferred in accounting, statistics or other related field, preferred.
  • Ten years FP&A experience.
  • Advanced computer and software literacy including all Microsoft Office products and accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), business transactions, and internal control principles.
  • Conduct all activities in a professional manner, ensuring good business relationships with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Ability to travel for site visits or meetings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of accounts payable function, including the ability to translate and communicate clear and effective AP information.
  • Strong customer service focus for both internal and external customers.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality regarding company accounting practices and procedures, including vendor and customer information.
  • Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, business transaction, and internal control principles.
  • Conduct all activities in a professional manner, ensuring good business relationships with vendors, customers, and employees.

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • May experience long hours of standing and moving. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
