Job Description

Are you an experienced roofer looking to expand your skill set and contribute to the renewable energy revolution? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Roofer/Solar Panel Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems, with the added bonus of having the opportunity to apply your expertise in solar panel installation.

Responsibilities

1. Roofing Installation and Repair: Execute the installation and repair of various roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and flat roofs, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
2. Solar Panel Installation: Utilize your knowledge of roofing techniques to install solar panels on residential and commercial roofs, following design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
3. Inspection and Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections of roofs to assess their condition and identify any issues or areas in need of repair or replacement.
4. Material Management: Manage inventory and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment for roofing and solar panel installation projects.
5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, promoting a culture of safety among team members and ensuring a safe working environment.
6. Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion of tasks.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including project details, materials used, and any pertinent observations or recommendations.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing installation and repair, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality workmanship.
2. Possession of relevant roofing certifications/licenses is preferred (e.g., roofing contractor license, OSHA certification).
3. Familiarity with solar panel installation techniques and best practices is a plus, although training may be provided for the right candidate.
4. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights, with a strong focus on safety.
5. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term durability of installations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
8. Ability to pass drug and background check.
