The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching a fleet of fuel delivery trucks. This includes but is not limited to calculating and organizing the next-day deliveries, managing degree day scheduling, monitoring tank reports, completing the truck reconciliation sheet, and completing certain pricing. This role serves as a direct contact for the drivers. This is a full time position Friday - Sunday. It will be 3 consecutive 12 hour shifts. (Training will be 1st shift; Monday - Thursday)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and analyzes scheduled delivery workload by determining the availability of trucks; site storage restrictions; trailer compartment size options; supply point options; delivery time requirements; driver DOT availability; traffic and weather conditions, etc.
  • Create daily delivery routes which maximize efficiency
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure work is completed appropriately, coach as needed
  • Facilitates near real-time supply point changes by coordinating with the supply department; maximizes profit and minimizes delivery disruptions by adjusting dispatch as needed
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
  • 1 + years with inventory software
  • Strong communication skills both oral and writing
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Petroleum/fuel industry experience is preferred
