Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Material Handler
Location: Onsite, Tempe, Arizona
HIS Innovations Group is looking for a Mechanical Assembler/Material Handler who will construct mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using purchased and manufactured parts. Technicians will utilize a variety of hand tools and support equipment to build these products, using efficient systems to ensure timely completion with all work done right the first time. In addition, this role will perform essential warehousing tasks, specifically receiving shipments from internal and external suppliers and maintaining inventory. The ideal candidate will be a team player with previous experience in a similar role and the drive to self-motivate and self-direct.
Responsibilities:
- Reads, interprets, and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Utilizes various electric tools (i.e., drills) as needed in a proficient manner.
- Maintains inventory of product in workstation while preserving order, safety, and
cleanliness. - Performs quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identifies product defects and completes appropriate documentation as needed.
- Repairs and/or reworks assembled equipment and products as instructed.
- Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Receives incoming shipments from suppliers, vendors, or other sources.
- Verifies the accuracy of shipments by comparing received items to packing lists or purchase orders.
- Inspects goods for damage or defects and reports any discrepancies.
- Maintains a clean work area and lean manufacturing culture.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience taking initiative, setting goals, and efficiently accomplishing tasks within set timelines.
- Ability to efficiently manage and organize several projects simultaneously and re-prioritize tasks or projects as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail with an ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ethical workplace conduct, including being a good human to your fellow employees.
- 1-2 years minimum mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
- A minimum of 6 months’ cabling and wiring experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is often preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic computer navigation skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions.
- Capable of regularly lifting a maximum of 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
- Possesses manual dexterity and visual capability to put parts and/or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
- Ability to safely climb ladders on a regular basis, preferred.

Location: On-site in a warehouse environment at HIS Innovations Group in Tempe, Arizona. The ability to commute to the site readily and reliably, or a plan to relocate to the area before starting work and independent of this role, is required.
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Daily schedule has some flexibility.
