3rd Shift - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:15 am - 7:00 pm

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to operate all types of forklifts and/or material handling equipment to effectively store, stage, move and ship material into/from appropriate locations, utilizing scanners and barcode equipment, visual observations and verification of counts.
  • Observe work rules and safety rules at all times, wearing personal protective equipment and seat belts at all times.
  • Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy and perform scheduled cycle counts, by collecting stock location orders and printing ship requests.
  • Load/unload trucks or trailers safely, abiding by all dock lock and safety control parameters
  • Coordinate work with Warehouse Coordinator, Traffic Coordinator and Planner/Schedulers or Production as needed.
  • Maintain safe, clean work environment (shelves, pallet area, workstations) and maintaining consistent, clean and stocked shipping supply area.
  • Ability to be trained on and to receive/maintain forklift certification. If utilizing company vehicles, also required to have valid state drivers’ license.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules or required overtime as needed.
  • Train new personnel on proper techniques of loading/unloading finished goods and stock items and to maintain accurate counts and associated paperwork.
  • Alert supervisor or next level manager of any discrepancies or encountered problems which may affect customer’s delivery and/or inventory

Special Knowledge, Skills and Training:

  • 5 years’ previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
  • Previous direct experience working with barcode and data entry systems, (XA-Mapics preferred).
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs repetitively from waist to shoulder, or above shoulder on frequent basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk for 8-12 hours
  • Frequent bending, stopping, twisting, pushing and pulling of product or skids.
  • Repetitive arm/hand motions
  • Ability to work in fluctuating seasonal temperatures
  • Ability to read, understand and follow procedures and instructions
  • Must have solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and understand units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to work in team environment, providing coordination and cooperation.
  • Must have good organizational skills and ability to multi-task, and ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and discipline toward continuous improvement of work flow
  • Must have excellent work ethic and attendance
  • Ability to perform basic forklift mechanical troubleshooting skills helpful

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Basic Computer and data entry skills desired
