Pub Shift Leader - Battle Creek Brewpub

Job summary

This position will assist with mid-level tasks as directed by the Floor Manager, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager. The Pub Shift Leader duties may be performed concurrently while maintaining a working floor section and with or without a manager on site.

What you would do

· Lead and act in a manner that is consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values.

· Perform all duties as assigned in the “Server” job description.

· Assist the retail management team with ensuring that company procedures and processes are followed by all retail team members (attendance, dress code, safety, cleaning, POS, etc.) on assigned shifts.

· Perform cash control and handling procedures as directed by the retail management team on assigned shifts.

· Assist with deliveries, restocks, and inventory procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures on assigned shifts.

· Assist the retail management team with opening & closing procedures on assigned shifts.

· Grant food and beverage comps/discounts as needed on assigned shifts.

· Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical requirements

· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

· Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 100 pounds

  • Be able to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, etc.)

Desired qualifications

· Be precise and detail oriented.

· Strong reading, writing, and problem-solving skills.

· High level of hospitality-focused service.

· Bar smarts certifications or willingness to obtain.

Summary of a typical day

* Performs opening or closing duties, including oversight of other team members.

* Authorizes discounts, comps, etc... as needed.

* Answers questions that newer team members may have regarding retail service operations.
