We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the repair, maintenance, and enhancement of boat AC and DC electrical systems. Previous experience is required as we need someone who can hit the ground running solving problems. Knowledge on other marine systems is a plus. This role will require working on projects outside of electrical as well we are a full service shop. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship and safety.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Electrical Repair:
- Trouble shoot and fix electrical issues in both AC and DC systems.
- Grounding issues.
2. New Installations:
- Install new AC and DC systems when needed.
- Install electronics.
3. Maintenance and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, particularly when handling hazardous materials.
- Properly dispose of or recycle materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other team members, including other technicians and supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status, challenges, and needs.
- Provide input on process improvements and best practices in boat repair and refinishing.
EXPERIENCE
1. At Least 2 Years of Experience in Marine Electrical:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and fixing electrical issues.
- Skilled in installing new systems.
2. At Least 2 Years of Electronics:
- At least 2 years experience in installing marine electronics: Chartplotters, VHF Radios, etc.
