Job description

The patient coordinator provides services for all sleep center patients in order to improve coordination of care and testing and increase treatment compliance in an effort to maximize the overall patient care experience. The coordinator makes patient contact starting with generation of the referral and managing the entire patient experience through scheduling process of home sleep test and in lab sleep studies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required/ preferred:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 2 year College Preferred

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in scheduling environment
  • Must possess knowledge of ICD10 Coding, CPT, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Patient Coordinator with sleep services
  • Must possess clerical skills, i.e., writing, filing, typing,
  • Must have exceptional communication skills to be able to communicate with referral sources, clients and patient care staff.
  • Proficient usage of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to respond to questions in a tactful and professional manner
  • Ability to make basic numerical calculations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain accuracy
  • Ability to interpret accounts and records

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20 per hour
