Reports to: Shop Foreman/Wire Burn Programmer
Supervisory responsibilities: None
Summary/objective: Eagle Industrial Group (EIG) is seeking EDM Technicians to join their day and night shift teams The EDM Technician is responsible for setting up details and wire burning them on Mitsubishi and GF Charmille machines. This position is ideal for those with limited experience who may be looking to learn more about programming in the future.

Note: Night-shift positions offer a 4-day workweek and a significant night-shift premium
Essential functions:
- Receive daily instructions from Wire Burn Programmers on what projects are assigned to be completed on the Wire Burn Machine (Mitsubishi and GF Charmille machines)
- Set up details for wire burn
- Continuously/regularly check details during wire burn
- Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Foreman as needed
Required competency, education, and experience:
- At least 1 year of set-up experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred education and experience:
- Programming experience
- Wire EDM operation experience
Work environment: Manufacturing environment.
Physical demands:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- This position requires that the employee be able to lift the part or detail from a waist level table and then up and over into a machine.
- Ability to carry the part/detail concurrently
- Ability to use hands, wrists, fingers.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Employee must possess visual acuity to operate machines and forklifts.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time, 48-50 hours per week. Day and night shift options available. Flexible schedule.
Travel: No travel.
