Irrigation Technician

As a Landscape Irrigation Technician for the Heroes Irrigation Army, you'll provide residential and commercial clients with irrigation system installation, repair, maintenance, and upgrade services. This will include installing, inspecting, optimizing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading irrigation systems. You'll need to identify potential problems, recommend solutions for clients, and ensure all issues are taken care of until resolution.
Compensation:$18 - $28 hourly
Responsibilities:- Work independently and as a team as needed on all irrigation installations, repairs, and upgrades.
- Prepare estimates on-site and present them to customers.
- Conduct service calls, complete irrigation system checks and execute the scope of work.
- Install or troubleshoot smart irrigation controllers and set up zones for optimal water coverage.
- Educate residential and commercial customers on how to use their systems in a professional and friendly manner.
- Build and maintain trust and great relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Follow warehouse and equipment daily maintenance and cleaning standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and related components including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, PVB/backflow preventers, etc.
- Perform seasonal maintenance of irrigation systems for turn-on and winterization.
- Learn about other departments to provide backup support.
- Follow all safety training and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- 1-3 years of working experience in irrigation and associated principles/practices.
- Proficiency with tools, devices, methods, skills, components, and mechanics of irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines and digging tools related to grounds and landscaping.
- Excellent professionalism, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Completion of company-funded training to develop knowledge and abilities.
- Experience in landscaping is a plus
