GrayMar Environmental Services, Inc, is seeking Environmental Technicians to join our fast-growing national company. We offer company-paid OSHA HAZWOPER Training and certification, company-paid protective clothing, boots and equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package.

General Responsibilities

  • Handles non-emergency and emergency response activities involving confined space entry such as manholes, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping and shoveling, high pressure washing and various other remedial activities.

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.

  • Wears personal protective equipment (PPE), respirator and properly and adheres to all safety procedures.

  • Operates light and heavy equipment not limited to Forklifts, Aerial Lifts, Boom Lifts, Skid Steers, Excavators, Pressure washers, pumps, and other company work vehicles.

  • Attends mandatory training to earn certifications and to obtain information specific to responsibilities.

  • Ensures all proper paperwork is signed and submitted.

  • Works “On-Call” based on the rotating “On-Call” schedule for Emergency Response. May require out-of-town travel. Length of travel will be dependent on the project.

  • Complies with on-going and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company.

Job Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Construction or general labor experience

Safety oriented mindset with the determination to follow all procedures and policies.

Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing and background check.

Must be able to successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and other mandatory trainings.

Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods of time, overnight and be on-call.

Must be able to perform physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work under adverse conditions (heat & cold).

Must be able to get to/from the job site.
