The childcare worker maintains a safe and fun environment for infants, toddlers, or pre-kindergartener students. You will develop creative and educational activities, prepare and serve snacks to children, and maintain a clean environment for the children. Responsible for monitoring and caring for adolescents to ensure that they play and interact with one another safely and appropriately. Help develop gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, language, social and emotional skills. 


Responsibiltites 
• Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
• Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
• Preparing meals and snacks for the kids
• Organizing activities and developing curriculum for older children
• Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
• Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests, and any problems that may occur
• Maintaining contact with the children’s parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency

Qualifications 
  1. High School diploma or GED. Higher education is preferred. Bachelors or Masters degree in childhood education
  2. Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience working hands-on with children in a school, preschool, daycare environment, or private nanny 
  3. Bilingual in Spanish or English preferred. Foreign language skills to interact with children who come from multilingual homes or homes of other native languages
  4. Valid CPR and first-aid certifications
  5. Behavioral analysis and cognitive recognition abilities for anticipating and addressing potential interactions or issues
  6. Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
  7. Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers, and parents or guardians
  8. Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
  9. Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time
