Family Wealth Associate

TDC Investment Advisory is seeking a Family Wealth Associate. This position reports to a Family Wealth Strategist.

JOB SUMMARY: A Family Wealth Associate enjoys working directly with experienced Wealth Strategists and Relationship Managers to prepare meeting materials, formulate viable financial strategies, and respond to a broad range of client requests with the sole purpose of helping High Net Worth families become stronger, closer, and wiser about their financial future.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

• Desire to learn and develop as a financial professional
• Aligned with firm’s Core Values, Core Focus, and Vision
• Desire to support Family Wealth Strategist and Advisers on their client teams
• Technical Skills you will learn as a Family Wealth Associate
• Support Lead and Relationship Managers, as needed
• Understanding of and ability to help with NAST and Coordinator functions
• New Prospect analysis and recommendations
• New Client on-boarding and implementation
• Portfolio Administration and Trading
• Financial- and Goals-based planning
• Existing client meeting preparation and follow-up
• Client Service situations and solutions
• TDC technology platforms to enhance the client experience
• Demonstrate consistent ability to make notes and document information as needed in our systems
• Ability to work well on teams and independently
• Excellent critical thinking, written, and verbal skills
• Ability to be mentored by Family Wealth Adviser or Strategist

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required
• Understands Investment Principles, TDC Investment Philosophy, as well as Financial Planning Principles and Tools
• Series 65 or equivalent/IAR within one year of obtaining position
• Ability to determine a prospect’s current investment holdings and asset allocation
• Basic portfolio administration skills, including trading
• Strong communication and computer skills, work well with others, attention to detail
• Eager to seek continued industry education
