Job DescriptionJob Description

Reports to Service Manager.

Installs, maintains, and repairs NC and CNC woodworking equipment by performing the following duties.

Duties and responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:

Install machinery in customers’ facility.

Trains operators on basic operation of system.

Trains maintenance personnel on basic maintenance and troubleshooting of systems.

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment both at the customers’ facility and at the Company Office.

Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

Installs and repairs electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Assists in setting up booths at trade shows.

Provide trouble shooting support over phone.

Attend advanced factory training at manufacturers facility in Europe, or other manufacturers locations as may be required.

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license and required automobile insurance.

Must have a current passport.

Must be eligible for international travel.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in installation and maintenance of NC machinery.

The ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools, testing and measuring equipment and PC diagnostic software.

Must be familiar with basic Windows operating systems as well as most MS Office programs.

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical and electrical schematics (IEC), construction drawings and procedure manuals.

Job requires up to 60% - 80% travel, mainly travel is through North America, but will not be limited to North America.

Must be able to speak effectively with members of customer’s organization including management, supervisory personnel, maintenance staff and machine operators.

Must be able to write routine reports detailing work performed.

Must have common math skills and be able to work with metric measurements.

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The ability to diagnose problems involving a combination of standardized tests and logical deductions.

Must be able to work unsupervised following established guidelines.

Must be fluent in English; German and/or Spanish language skills a plus.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, The employee must be meet physical requirements:

· Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 100 pounds without assistance

· Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead.

· Must be able to climb ladders, and at times, crawl under or into machines being serviced.

The employee is regularly exposed to:

· Moving mechanical parts.

· Risk of electrical shock.

· Extended periods of standing.

The employee is frequently exposed to:

· Vibration

· Dust.

The employee is occasionally exposed to:

· Wet and/or humid conditions.

· High, precarious places.

· Poor lighting.

· Fumes or airborne particles and mists.

· The noise level and work environment is usually loud.

Supervisory responsibilities:

Has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
