Gate Clerk

Job Summary:

The management, coordination, and execution of warehouse operations. Warehouse operations professionals play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of goods within a warehouse or distribution center. They ensure that products and goods are handled with safety, quality, and care as they are moved around and monitor inventory levels to ensure warehouse capacity is met for timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Guards yard entrance gate to control traffic to and from the property. Opens the gate to allow entrance or exit of drivers to and from the yard.
• Check credentials and BOLs/Load information after admitting anyone to enter.
• Issues pass at own discretion or on instructions from superiors.
• Directs visitors and drivers to various parts of the grounds/yard.
• Inspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company load/trailers or products.
• May record the number of trucks or other carriers entering and leaving.
• Will monitor Company phone and 2-way radios to ensure effective traffic flow across the yard.

Shift: Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 4pm and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 630am to 230pm
