Janitor-Maintenance Helper

Position Objective:
Keeping building in clean and orderly condition.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the premises, including but not limited to: restrooms, common areas, kitchen, private offices (upon request), store, classrooms, and the outside facility.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
- Proper usage of chemical and the wearing of proper PPE’s when required.
- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)-how to use them and where they are stored
- Adheres to safety policies
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work independently
- Basic janitorial skills and knowledge
- Good communication skills
Education:
- High School or GED
Physical Demands:
The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; frequent talking and hearing, and use of close, distance, color, and peripheral vision and depth perception; frequent standing, sitting, walking, and the ability to reach with hands and arms; occasional overhead reaching and kneeling, twisting, bending, stooping; frequent ability to lift and /or move up to fifty pounds.
