Role

A warehouse driver is responsible for transporting packages and other merchandise from our facility to our customers. They check all the loaded items to ensure that the orders are correct. They must operate the delivery vehicle, schedule equipment maintenance, and follow safety practices and procedures. A warehouse driver also responds to the customers' inquiries and concerns and escalates complaints of incorrect merchandise and defective items to management whenever needed.


Responsibilities

  • Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
  • Unload truck as needed at customer locations.
  • Maintains records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
  • Maintains delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluids levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
  • Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock.
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the orders are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
  • Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
  • Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.


Expectations

The expectation of this position is to deliver products efficiently and maintain equipment. They will pay attention to details about the shipments and serve as a liaison to customers while representing the company in a professional manor.


Employment Details

-Part-time, Day Shift 8 am to 3 pm with overtime opportunities

-Required Education: - High School Diploma or GED

-Compensation: - $20.00 to $30.00 /hour Dependent on Experience
