The Disbursements Associate is a role within the Accounting Department. They will oversee assigned Accounts Payable functions ensuring accuracy and sufficient support for monies distributed to off-site vendors, reimbursement of employees including tracking of employee related expenses on company owned credit facilities. The Disbursements Associate will support various aspects of accounting for GOVX.

This position reports to the Disbursements Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring vendor invoices and credits are entered and properly classified within NetSuite
  • Ensuring timeliness and accuracy for outgoing disbursements
  • Providing support as needed for annual financial statement audit preparation and queries
  • Maintaining pertinent vendor data within systems
  • Perform monthly general review and reconciliation of posted expenditures
  • Preparing and publishing timely and accurate monthly supporting financial schedules
  • Additional Disbursement duties as necessary

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in accounting or administrative field
  • Proven time management skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience with querying reports
  • Easygoing and positive attitude

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel Requirements
No travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role occasionally must lift and carry the office equipment.

  • Physical – This is largely a sedentary role.
  • Mental – Problem solving, making decisions, interpreting data, organizing, reading/writing.

Work Location
This is a hybrid position that combines working onsite at the GOVX corporate office in San Diego, CA and working remotely from home. You will be required to report to the office a minimum of three days per week and work a full eight-hour shift each day from the office. Start and end times are flexible, but you will be required to be in the office during the core business hours of 9:30am - 2:30pm. The in-office days will be based on business needs to be set by your manager. No relocation allowance or visa sponsorship will be provided.

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
