Cochran's Fenton, Missouri location is looking for a Director of Construction Testing & Quality Assurance to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, manage, and grow the Construction Testing and Quality Assurance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the department to align with company goals.
  • Foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance and control programs.
  • Ensure all construction projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Testing and Inspection:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction material testing and inspection processes.
  • Oversee testing lab (concrete, asphalt, rock, soil)
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results and inspection findings.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address and resolve any quality issues.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to construction quality and safety.
  • Keep abreast of changes in industry standards and regulations and update company policies and procedures accordingly.

Client Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding quality assurance and testing matters.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Relentlessly pursues work opportunities and shows accuracy in bid administration

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and innovations in construction testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction testing, quality assurance, and quality control, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
