Leasing Specialist

As a Leasing Specialist, you are the first step in creating a sense of community for current and prospective residents. You are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and using your sales skills to convert property tours to leases. Consider this role as the first line of defense for the property manager. This position reports to the property manager and requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.

$18 - $22 hourly

• As a Leasing Specialist you will be responsible for answering phone calls and maintaining organized filing systems.
• Your role will involve selling/leasing apartment inventory to prospective residents in the Detroit area.
• You will greet potential residents, assist current tenants with concerns, and manage service requests effectively.
• Ensuring the accurate completion of application and lease paperwork will be part of your responsibilities.
• You will be required to adhere to marketing campaigns specific to the Detroit market as needed.
• Working closely with the Property Manager, you will assist in maintaining compliance with all resident files.
• Participation in community events and activities to enhance resident retention will also be expected of you.

• The ideal candidate should have at least 6 months of experience working in the Multi-family Industry.
• Proficiency in Property Management software like Yardi, OneSite, BlueMoon, or other related program is required for this position.
• A solid understanding of Fair Housing Laws is essential.
• Availability to work on weekends is a must.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a friendly and customer service-oriented attitude towards co-workers and residents.
• Willingness to support the Property Manager in ensuring compliance with all resident files.
• Willingness to participate in community events and activities to increase resident retention.
