POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Training Coordinator will conduct hands-on training of manufacturing processes. They will also maintain the data for work instructions, controlled documents, and employee training. This role also aids to develop and implement training programs to grow employee production knowledge.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor
- Conduct hands-on training of manufacturing processes and monitor training effectiveness
- Create and update work instructions; ensure employee training/retraining completed and understood
- Maintain all controlled documents; ensure updated, logged, followed, and edited, as needed
- Create new hire training packets; certify employees on knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the tasks required
- Develop comprehensive training programs for each production department and a training path for future sessions
- Maintain the Cross Training Matrix and any required documentation
- Coordinate with supervisors to identify the training needs for individual employees and/or departments
- Ensure materials meet established quality standards
- Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets
- Inspire, motivate, and lead others in utilizing Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
- Organize materials at work station and department according to 6S standards
- Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in a business or engineering field or two or more years in a supervisor/training related position
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
Travel
- Occasional travel may be required

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional lifting of 25 pounds or less, occasional lifting of 26 pounds or more
- Standing, walking, and sitting throughout the duration of shift, daily
- Repetitive use of hands and/or fingers, able to reach with hands and arms, and use of vision
