Performs various accounting tasks in support of the accounting department, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems, processing payments, and/or assisting in preparation of billings and other financial reports. This is a full-time position 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, at our Main Office.


Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Provide Key support to the Accounting Manager and Financial Team.
  • Assist with daily accounts receivable processing strategies and workflows to meet monthly cash flow goals.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve account and transactional issues.
  • Maintain and update all internal customer accounts along with daily input routines.
  • Reconciles daily sales; matches supporting systems to daily sales. Supports branch office personnel.
  • Research processing problems, contacts internal personnel and customers to resolve problems and expedite payment; refers complex problems to supervisor.
  • Perform and assist with month end closing procedures in accounting system.
  • Effectively apply and maintain payments.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:


Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read and interpret documents such as spread and balance sheets, invoices, and correspondence. Intermediate proficiency in 10 key and keyboarding is required. Knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Word. Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and ability to analyze and solve problems is required.


Required Education/Certification: High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
