FULLTIME: 4-month assignment
LOCATION: Coventry, RI
SCHEDULE: 10pm-3:30am (Overnight)
PAY RANGE: $17/HR

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under supervisory direction, functions as a member of a production team whose goal is to operate machines required to process medical device components, assemble required components, inspect in-process components/assemblies, and maintain the quality and integrity of the products at all times.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform machine operations, assemblies, and line inspections of components/assemblies according to established procedures.
2. Tasks will typically be performed within full-scale production manufacturing operations.
3. Follow and strictly adhere to procedures, assembly methods, product handling methods, records completion, current Good Manufacturing Practices/ISO13485 and safety requirements on a consistent basis.
4. Maintain product quality, integrity, and traceability at all times.
5. Understand the area's entire process (machinery performance) in order to consistently meet or exceed production standards when performing existing procedures.
6. Perform SAP/computer production transactions as required.
7. Maintain a clean work area that is organized.
8. Use tools, measuring equipment/systems and materials as designated by procedures.
9. Perform machine setups and mechanical related maintenance as required.
10. Work with engineers in completing validation runs, cost controls, process improvements, statistical data collection and other related programs designed to improve operating performance and to reduce waste and cost.
11. Perform process and procedure training as an area Subject Matter expert on four or more procedures and exceed expectations per SME assessment.
12. Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline. and a minimum of 1 year experience as a Grinding Machine Operator for Grinding; Molding Machine Operator for Molding; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed expectations of Machine Operator II including Compliance aspects. Six Sigma Yellow Belt training required. Demonstrated good mechanical aptitude, proactive troubleshooting and machine maintenance capabilities. Ability to interpret drawings and use precision measuring tools and equipment also required. Previous working knowledge of MP's, cGMP's, ISO 13485 and team concepts preferred. Must exhibit willingness to work on a team and promote teamwork among all employees.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of computers- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Email. SAP inventory system experience a plus. Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours. Daily and weekend overtime is required in this position.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up 35 pounds. Position requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform mechanical adjustments.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee may be required protective clothing and safety equipment such as safety glasses and respirators, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygienic restrictions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
