Job DescriptionJob Description

The Medical Assistant assists in greeting patients, admitting, preparing patients, and signing-out patients. This position supports the physician and patient throughout the care process, including preparing bills, typing, and filing charts. The Medical Assistant is responsible for meeting and maintaining established medical protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accountable and responsible for the provision of clerical duties, basic medical procedures, and customer service according to established standards, policies, and procedures of Washington Health System.
  2. Accurately reports information to medical staff and members of the Family Medicine Department in order that they may intervene to provide adequate and appropriate care.
  3. Completes and demonstrates competency in all technical skills and patient care procedures as delegated according to established Washington Health System Core Medical Assistant Skills & Responsibilities.

Location: Could be assigned to Washington, Cecil or Canonsburg offices.

Department: WHS Family Medicine

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, occasional evenings from 5p-7p. No weekends or holidays

Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
