The FFL 4473 Specialist is responsible for performing administrative-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the FFL Processing Supervisor / FFL Processing Manager. This position predominantly carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Reviews ATF form 4473’s, communicates with Storefront, FFL department and Compliance.
This is a full-time position with daytime hours. Some non-standard work shifts may be required.Responsibilities and DutiesThis person will communicate with customers and internal departments to perform the following:
  • Ability to act as a checks and balance support to company store-level department to ensure company remains in compliance.
  • Ensure store-level department accurately completes all required sections of ATF form 4473 and compiles supporting documentation in accordance with federal regulations prior to finalizing sale approval.
  • Ensures second and final 4473 reviews are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to utilize attention to detail to locate and coordinate corrections for ATF form 4473 errors.
  • Ensures all ATF form 4473 errors are valid and appropriately logged.
  • Ability to accurately identify/locate and pull firearm(s) from shelves to fulfill customer orders.
  • Compile and submit weekly reports for all ATF Form 4473 error data to appropriate departments.
  • Compile and submit appropriate documentation correspondence to local law enforcement & regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Coordinate and lead all new hire training for store-front associates on ATF form 4473.
  • Ability to maintain calm, professional demeanor and work ethic during high volume traffic while multi-tasking.
  • Successfully work with diverse personalities to meet company goals to provide high quality customer experience.
  • Proficient in regulatory interpretation and application.
  • Safely handle weapons in preparation for customer inspection.
  • Must be proficient in navigating/understanding supporting ATF form 4473 processing sites to efficiently process 4473 forms and support team (Orchid, 4473 Cloud, Körber, NetSuite)
  • Adheres to company Compliance Policy for “Override Request’s” appropriately.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Handle Multiple Sale form & Bound Book disposition corrections, uploads supporting form 4473 documents to appropriate applications.
  • Perform other related duties, as needed, within the Primary Arms team.
