Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to become a part of our team You will be responsible for direct client care and administrative duties for dental care services.

 Responsibilities:

•  Oversees patients’ hygiene needs by keeping patients' teeth and gums clean by removing plaque, polishing the teeth, performing routine checkup, screen patients, and review patients’ oral health history.
• Demonstrates and teaches patients methods and techniques of maintaining oral health.
• Assists the dentist as directed.
• Perform additional dental care duties such as sterilization and taking pictures using x-ray machine for dentist analysis.
• Networks with other service providers to maintain knowledge of services available to clients and keep them apprised of oral health care resources.
• Perform essential work within Electronic Health Record system and program data entry systems with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.
• Practices Universal Precautions.
• Knowledgeable of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• Communicate in a culturally competent and effective manner to clients/caregivers regarding the services available.

 Qualifications:

• Dental Hygienist licensed by the State of Texas
• Dental Hygienist experience - 2 years minimum proven work experience in dental field
• Good keyboard skills - 35 wpm
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
• Detailed oriented and organized.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

 Working Conditions:

• The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be required.
• Must be willing to round at Greenspoint and Conroe Health Centers
• Must be willing to work Saturday clinic rotation.
