Job Summary:
The Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgeon (Hip & Knee) is responsible for providing top-tier medical and surgical care to adults who are experiencing musculoskeletal issues primarily pertaining to the hip and knee joints. The successful candidate will have extensive training and experience in reconstructive procedures, orthopedic surgery, and nonsurgical treatments for ailments related to these joints. As a skilled medical professional, they will diagnose and treat conditions, deformities, diseases, and injuries in these specific areas, while staying updated on the latest research and breakthroughs in orthopedic care.
Duties:
1. Diagnose and treat a range of conditions related to hip and knee joints, using both surgical and nonsurgical methods.
2. Consult with patients to formulate the most effective treatment plan, taking into consideration various factors such as medical history, age, lifestyle, and profession.
3. Conduct routine follow-ups with the patients to monitor their recovery, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
4. Perform surgery, implant prosthetics, and carry out other forms of intervention to alleviate pain and improve the patients' quality of life.
5. Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive post-op care.
6. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hip and knee reconstructive surgery, incorporating new techniques and technologies into practice where applicable.
7. Maintain patient records and documents procedures meticulously.
8. Participate in research studies and attending conferences regularly to enhance professional knowledge and expertise.
9. Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care, potential risks, and precautions.
10. Adhere to all local and national medical guidelines and protocols, enforcing cleanliness, safety, and the highest standards of patient care.
Other Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Residency/Fellowship Training in Recon Surgery (Knee & Hip)
- AZ State MD/DO License (Or able to obtain)
