Invoicing Specialist

SmartHire is looking for a Customer Service – Invoicing Specialist for a client in Tacoma WA. This is a Direct Hire position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent invoicing experience within the transportation or similar industry.

Salary:

$50k-$55k DOE

Schedule:

M-F 8am – 430pm – (after training flexible start time between 630am – 8am + 1 remote day)

Summary:

Responsible for providing timely and accurate invoicing of all ocean freight charges as well as billing and invoicing of all accessorial charges for northbound and southbound shipments.

Responsibilities:

·Month-end closing of all revenue charges within the fiscal period.

·Daily invoicing of northbound and southbound ocean shipments to improve billing velocity KPI.

·Receiving and processing of carrier charges.

·Processing, reviewing, and billing all detention, storage charges

·Processing, reviewing, and billing various accessories.

·Developing an understanding of tariffs and customer contracts for all accounts.

·Running control reports and performing pre-audits to increase accuracy.

·Utilizing various data and billing systems such as EAM, BOX, JDA, and ETA

·Performing accurate and efficient data entry

Experience:

·2 years of invoicing experience within transportation or similar

·Associates degree preferred.

·Excellent computer proficiency – MS Office

·Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize standard software applications,Windows, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote).

·Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.

·Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.

·High degree of self-direction and motivation.

·Detail-oriented
