A Little Bit About the Position


Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Clerk I. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to our Accounts Receivable (AR) and Litigation departments. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain fundamental training in California Workers Compensation and Copy Service regulations while building a solid foundation for your legal career.


As a Litigation Clerk I, you'll ensure the smooth operation of our legal processes by handling tasks such as managing incoming and outgoing mail, organizing case files, and preparing legal documents for filing. You'll engage with clients, opposing parties, and stakeholders to schedule meetings and hearings, and provide general administrative support to the Litigation team.   • Location: Rocklin, CA (Hybrid-Remote)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Compensation: $19.71-$30.77/hour
Requirements:


  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with 90% accuracy
  • Education and Certification: High School diploma or equivalent is usually required
  • 1+ years of experience in the workers’ compensation field preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and regulations in California a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in office software, including Google Docs and/or Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of legal case management software a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Prior experience in a legal or administrative role is desirable but not always required
  • Proficient in written communication skills, including proof-reading, syntax, and grammar
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Functional Requirements


Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:

  • Sitting for at least one hour at a time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
  • Keyboarding for extended periods of time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
  • Using a phone with or without a headset for extended periods (total: 3-5 hours/day)
  • Using office equipment such as copiers and scanners for at least one hour at a time (total: 2-3 hours/day)
