Job DescriptionJob Description

Our Fiber Lab is searching for a Fiber Optic Cable Assembler/ Polisher

to join our growing team. All fiber cable assembly technicians are trained in basic fiber

optic theory, termination and cable processing tasks and procedures. Showing great aptitude

to complete those steps the ideal candidate could then be trained on the fiber polishing

process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating high quality products in a timely manner.
  • Assemblers are required to take ownership of their work and provide mechanical

inspection and basic continuity testing before submitting work for final test and

approval.

  • Employees are required to demonstrate knowledge and experience in detailed oriented

jobs, and accuracy with numbers and part numbers.

  • Communicate effectively with team leader to continuously establish and improve quality

on the assembly line.

  • Polished work should be complete and free of any microscopic contamination, residual

glue, process slurry, and diamond particles from lapping films.

  • Team oriented

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Able to read and understand internal procedures and policies
  • Able to understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
  • Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Able to communicate courteously and professionally at all organizational levels
  • Mechanically proficient
  • Possess solid math, time management, and computer skills
  • Work in an environment that is a casual clean room
  • Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts on cable reeler
  • Able to move and/or lift up to 75 lbs. – instruction required on safe lifting practices
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, use hands and hand tools
  • Our fiber lab is a casual clean environment that offers state of the art manufacturing

equipment.

Position Type/Hours:

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Mon – Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm

Starting Pay: $19.00 - $23.00
