Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care in compliance with accepted standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate patient care in an ICU setting.
  • Coordinate and implement care for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Utilize critical thinking and quick intervention in life-threatening situations.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Active, current RN license in any state (United States).
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years prior ICU experience, with at least five (5) years preferred in a critical care environment.
  • Education: Graduate of a state-approved nursing school accredited by ACEN or CCNE. A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, and Moderate Sedation Certification. CCRN certification through AACN is preferred.

Special Skills:

  • Proficiency in the insertion of peripheral and central lines.
  • Expertise in managing Open Heart, General Surgery, Vascular Surgeries, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, CRRT, and Vasoactive drugs.
  • Competence in blood sample collection, hemodynamic monitoring, and assisting with chest tube insertions.
  • Ability to perform 12 lead EKGs and follow ACLS protocols during cardiac events.
  • Experience with mechanical ventilators, Airvo humidification systems, and Bipap support.
