Job DescriptionJob Description

Title Services, LLC, a full service title insurance agency affiliated with the F.C. Tucker Company, is looking for an Escrow Officer/Senior Closer who would work directly with real estate agents to place new title orders and oversee the closing process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Orders title commitments for issuing title insurance upon receipt of request from realtors and/or lenders.
  • Corresponds and communicates with parties to the transaction including buyers, sellers, realtors, and lenders to complete the closing transaction pursuant to terms of the contract, title commitment and lender instructions.
  • Prepares transaction documents on behalf of the company and reviews documents provided by the lender to verify accuracy and compliance. This preparation includes balancing Closing Disclosures pursuant to lender instruction, preparing and corresponding ALTA Settlement Statements and additional documentation to complete the closing transaction.
  • Completes closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures.
  • Disbursing funds under the terms of the contract and instruction of parties to the contract and maintaining balance of the file at time of disbursement.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements and company policy by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements
  • Work proactively as a part of a team to ensure time is used efficiently while utilizing all available resources to meet deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree is preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years real estate and/or title insurance experience: ability to review and understand purchase agreements, title commitments and lender closing instructions.
  • Active Title Producers License or the ability to obtain it
  • Notary in the state of Indiana or the ability to become one.
  • Advanced knowledge of the entire title process from beginning to end
  • A desire to help people together with inner confidence and resolve to navigate challenges, steer conversations, and get results
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects, handle frequent changes effectively and professionally, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Proficient in developing research and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication skills in person and over the phone to communicate important information across teams
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, internet research, organization, and communication skills
  • Effective decision-making skills and an ability to execute under pressure

HOURS: 8:30 - 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday; 37.5 hours per week.
