Job Description: Packaging AssociateJob Summary:
The Packaging Associate supports the packaging team in the production of high-quality products, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while minimizing waste Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup of jobs and operational procedures as part of onboarding and training programs.
- Review daily work schedule and prepare materials accordingly for production.
- Perform hand collating, final assembly, and kit building on production lines as directed.
- Ensure correct sequencing and quality of packaging projects.
- Pack materials onto pallets, corrugated cartons, or carts following specifications.
- Inspect products visually for quality defects and report issues to line leads.
- Operate basic auxiliary equipment such as manual shrink wrappers, cartoners, and box cutters under supervision.
- Stage jobs for upcoming production runs by loading materials onto production lines.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following established procedures and correcting hazards promptly.
- Adhere to company policies, security protocols, standard operating procedures, and ISO requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the packaging unit.
- Occasionally perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Effective customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions.
- Clear communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand for long periods according to shift requirements.
