Construction QA/QC Coordinator

We are currently hiring a Construction QA/QC Coordinator on a contract/1099 basis to ensure the quality and compliance of construction projects, specifically liaising with third-party laboratories for testing and inspections. The QA/QC Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes to meet project requirements, industry standards, and third-party testing guidelines. This job is for our current site in Hopkinsville, KY.
Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control processes for construction projects, integrating third-party laboratory testing and inspections
- Coordinate with third-party laboratories to schedule and conduct necessary testing and inspections
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and third-party testing requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions based on third-party findings
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities, third-party testing results, and compliance with all requirements
- Communicate quality expectations to subcontractors, vendors, and third-party testing partners
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert input on quality-related matters, especially related to third-party testing procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing overall project quality through insights gained from third-party inspections
Education and other Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction quality assurance and quality control, including coordinating with third-party laboratories
- Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of wearing task specific personal protective equipment which may include dust mask, respirator, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.
- Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
- While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (minimum of eight hours).
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
This job is located in Hopkinsville, KY. If the selected candidate does not reside in the area, he/she must be able to relocate. Remote work is not an option.
