You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of solar racking systems, contributing to the successful deployment of solar projects.

Position Location Requirements

Salary Range/Level:

  • $30 per hour
  • In alignment with the New York Prevailing Wage rates. For this project, the base wage is $30 per hour, with additional fringe benefits valued at $25.70 per hour.

Responsibilities Include:

STRATEGIC:

  • Efficient Installation: Execute solar racking installations with precision to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure seamless integration of racking systems with other project components.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular inspections of installed racking systems to verify alignment, stability, and adherence to specifications.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address installation issues promptly to maintain project progress and quality.
  • Resource Management: Manage and utilize tools and materials effectively to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback and suggestions for improving installation processes and procedures.

TACTICAL:

  • Site Preparation: Set up and organize the work area, including staging materials and tools for efficient access.
  • Racking Assembly: Accurately assemble and install racking components according to project specifications and technical drawings.
  • Tool Operation: Operate and maintain hand and power tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely.
  • Measurement and Alignment: Measure, level, and align racking systems to ensure proper installation and functionality.
  • Safety Implementation: Adhere to safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.
  • Material Handling: Transport and position materials as needed, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage or delays.
  • Progress Reporting: Communicate progress, challenges, and any deviations from plans to project leads or supervisors.
