The Position: This is a full-time position that works Monday through Friday, 7:30 am 4:30 pm.

Required Education and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One to three years experience in a similar role
- High mechanical and electronics aptitude
- Must be willing to learn welding applications after hire
- Obtain CPR and First Aid certification after hire
- Aptitude test completed prior to hire to determine knowledge base
- Valid drivers license with good driving record
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Education and Experience
- NFPA 70E knowledge
- One year of technical college training in related field
- Current/valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Forklift training and experience
- Three years of service center experience repairing similar equipment
- Working knowledge of positioning equipment, welding application and equipment
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Service Center Manager, the Service Technician safely inspects, troubleshoots, services and maintains welding machines, dry ice blasters, plasma cutting and associated equipment by using a variety of specialized electronic testing equipment, common hand tools as well as electric and pneumatic tools. In addition, is expected to provide top tier customer service to all internal and external customer
Essential Functions

- Repair and refurbish all electric and engine driven equipment by replacing defective parts and completing preventative maintenance as required; repaint or provide touch up paint and add decals on welders to maintain general appearance; order parts as required in order to complete repairs
- Assemble electric, diesel, gas, propane and dry ice blaster equipment for rental; test and calibrate machines to ensure they are functional for rent or sale.
- Complete machine calibrations at customer locations
- Inspect returned equipment for proper operation and/or damage by the customer
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipment to stock required parts in the shop
- Prepares and completes paperwork for all machine repairs
- Occasionally required to service equipment at customers location, conduct small machine demo by setting up various machines and advise customers regarding best equipment for their projects
- Complete weld and plasma cut testing
- Ensure clean and organized work environment at all times
- Maintain CPR and first aid certification
