Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPRI is seeking a full-time Mail Courier and Driver to provide mail delivery services within a government facility. Primary processes include performing mail runs throughout the facility to deliver and pickup mail. This position requires the candidate to be able to qualify and maintain a Secret DoD clearance in addition to passing a drug test and background check prior to starting work. Current Secret clearance holders are highly desirable.
Indian Head Naval Support Facility –Courier/Driver
3838 Strauss Ave, Indian Head, MD 20640

Specific Duties:
  • Safe and efficient operation of van and/or box truck as needed
  • Performs daily delivery and pickup rounds based on established schedule
  • Deliver inbound mail 1X daily (AM route and PM route)
  • Pick-up outbound mail on delivery route and bring back to the mail facility.
  • Signature obtained when accountable mail delivered during normally scheduled delivery rounds.

All other duties not related to driving a vehicle or making actual deliveries/pickups:
  • Sort mail picked up from USPS Indian Head facility
  • Counter service for limited walk-up drop off/ pick up
  • Receive outbound mail from USMC (unscheduled)
  • Recycle undeliverable Std A mail
  • Perform daily reconciliation to ensure all items are accounted for either by signature or physical count
  • Maintain Log of Accountable Mail items
  • Provides customer service on mail services
  • Maintains mailroom in an orderly and safe manner
  • Complies with USPS mail policies and procedures
  • Update daily and weekly workload data collection sheets with requested metrics
