JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide customer service to MidCountry Bank’s customers, both in person or by phone and be responsible for promoting MidCountry Bank’s products and services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform all Teller functions

  • Cash checks
  • Receive deposits and loan payments
  • Issue cashier’s checks and cash advances
  • Daily balancing, which may include drawer, vault and ATM
  • Follow dual control policies and procedures which may include processing the night drop and audits

2. Solicit business and provide customer service to new and existing customers

  • Identify customer needs and promote appropriate products and services
  • Answer customer calls and perform any other services to address the customer’s needs
  • Provide quality customer service by providing timely and accurate response to customer inquiries
  • Solicit bank and non-bank product and services referrals through in-person referrals and outbound calls
  • Connect customer with appropriate resources for situations

3. Maintain current knowledge of bank products, services and environment

  • Attend training sessions and bank/branch meetings as required
  • Complete online compliance courses as assigned
  • Self-educate as opportunities present themselves

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education-

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience-

  • Required: None
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or cash handling
