Aggregate Support Specialist

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for an Aggregate Support Specialist to join its team. In this position you will assist on equipment demos, start-ups, operator training and serve as a technical resource for RMS and our customers. We are seeking an experienced individual who is motivated and who will enjoy the challenge of being an integral part of the company’s growth. RMS is the exclusive dealer for the Astec companies, Kolberg Pioneer Inc. (KPI), Johnson Crushing International (JCI), Astec Mobile Screens, (AMS), Sandvik, along with other aggregate related lines of equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Answer customer questions regarding start-up / operational features
• Working with customers and territory managers in assigned to promote sales and dealer services
• Communicate and work closely with Sales, Parts, Service and Product Sales & Support Representatives (PSSR’s) to ensure customer satisfaction
• Attend training and meetings as required to stay current with new equipment products
• Successfully complete any formalized training curriculum
• Perform monthly inspections on aggregate equipment on rent
• Assist with check in/check out on aggregate equipment
• Assist in achieving aggregate equipment rental readiness objectives
• Provide our technicians continuous aggregate equipment training for operation, inspections, and PDI guidelines
• Provide recommended stocking lists for new equipment models
• Communicate with manufacturers to diagnose, analyze, document, and solve product performance and/or application issues
• Follow up with and maintain existing customer relationships
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures

Qualifications/Skills:

• Five to seven years’ experience selling and/or servicing crushing, screening, conveying, washing, and other aggregate processing equipment
• Knowledge of a wide range of aggregate equipment and applications
• Ability to travel throughout the territory, including 30-40% overnight
• Excellent interpersonal capabilities and strong communication skills
• Team player with an orientation towards responsive customer support
• Strong capabilities in the use of standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Strong references from former employers and colleagues
