Job Description:

This Candidate will provide day to day oversight and direction to the forman and field personnel assigned to on-site construction projects. He or she is responsible for protecting and promoting the interests and values of the

company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy responsibilities.

The Earthwork Superintendent brings

specialized knowledge and experience in executing projects for his or her specialty area.


Job Responsibilities

• Prepare for project startup and execute project activities as required to meet day-to-day and overall objectives.

• Understand and apply the requirements in project documents with regard to quality control procedures such as

testing, shop drawings, material approvals, samples, mock-ups, execution of the work, etc.

• Become familiar with each job estimate for general condition items and follow the direction with regard to performing work within the boundaries of the estimate.

• Assist in the preparation of progress schedules, keep them properly updated, and ensure that everything feasible is done for the project to meet the required dates.

• Ensure timely on-site delivery of materials and equipment furnished by the Company and subcontractors.

• Direct and train the forman and field staff to ensure their continued development by use of performance

evaluations, varying assignments, and promoting positive project morale.


Job Description

• Work with the Safety Director to establish and maintain good safety and security practices for the entire project

in accordance with applicable safety codes and regulations.

• Develop final punch lists and ensure all project tasks are completed.


Experience and Essential Skills Required

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of earthwork construction experience with at least two of those years being in charge of the project in the role of Earthwork Superintendent.

• Experience must include soil stabilization and mass excavation

• Experience in heavy earth moving equipment Landfill development

Experience with utility work - storm sewers, water, gas utility work

· GPS experience

· Be comfortable running jobs in the $200k - $10mm range

· CDL A


Requirements:

· Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen

· Must be able to pass a drug screen

· Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request

· Class A CDL is required

· Reliable transportation to and from work

· Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed

· Willingness to travel/work out of town
