Insight Credit Union is looking for a skilled Branch Retail professional with experience in developing
growth strategies and a high performance team to meet the Credit Union's strategic goals.

The Vice President of Branch Administration will oversee the management and strategic direction of a major demographic market comprised of several regions in the retail branch network, including sales, operations, and financial results, in addition to providing strategic direction to the market. It is the responsibility of this role to drive Insight Credit Union branches to reach growth production levels in deposit and loan production, to expand membership, and to deliver consistent levels of member service and satisfaction to our members. Specifically, this role will be responsible for overseeing the growth engines within the branches and ensuring that they are designed to maximize member acquisition, retention and relationship depth within the branches. In order to create a member-centered culture, this leader works closely with all levels of the branch structure as he or she embeds behavior and actions that unite each branch location to create a persistent member-centered culture.

Telecommuting is available after 3 months of employment and a satisfactory performance evaluation.

Initially this position will require more onsite presence for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Provides leadership and management direction to AVP leadership team and Branch Managers to ensure job responsibilities are being performed effectively and efficiently, communication is being facilitated between branches, and staff coaching and development is occurring on a daily basis. Provides senior level guidance and support to the branches regarding member concerns, operational questions, risk management, and human resource issues relating to the branches. Establishes a leadership culture that leads by example and expects the leadership team to follow suit. Holds AVP and management team accountable for consistency of service, performance, and growth initiatives.
  • Responsible for driving the sales and performance of branches and providing continued direction focused on what needs to be done for all branches to succeed and grow. Monitors and coaches staff at all levels of the branch on how to adopt new products, technologies, processes, and procedures in order to maximize sales and service effectiveness at all levels. Acts as a culture agent, motivating employees to achieve higher standards and promoting an attitude of excellence towards knowledge, sales, customer service, and learning through a commitment to the credit union's vision, mission, purpose, promise and values.
  • Drives the development of new business. Ensures that teams are established to identify opportunities with new prospects and existing members to meet aggressive deposit and loan growth goals for the Credit Union. Contributes to and actively participates in a wide range of community outreach and business development initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Works closely with the Chief Retail Officer (CRO) to ensure that branch strategy and direction can be effectively incorporated into the organization's goals and priorities. Participates in regular collaborations with other Senior Managers regarding issues that pertain to the different topics. Conducts strategy meetings with the CRO, peer management, and leadership team on a regular basis. Identifies obstacles and process inefficiencies that impact ability to serve members effectively. Takes ownership of these items and collaborates. designs, and implements solutions.
  • Monitors branch operating results and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Ensures branches are in compliance with all regulations and Credit Union policies. Responsible for compliance issues associated with deposit programs including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC and DD.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Experience: Eight to ten years of increasingly levels of responsibility in Senior level Retail Management within in a financial institution. Credit Union industry experience preferred. A proven and quantifiable record of reaching branch, region, and company goals and objectives, as well as sound management and core system knowledge is required. Business Development, Treasury Management, and Community Outreach experience would be a plus.

Education: A college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field), or related work experience.

Interpersonal Skills: Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions. Role also requires the ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.

Other Skills:

- Demonstrated successful sales experience and the ability to develop successful sales skills in others, along with prior experience in sales coaching and business development. Must have sound operational and risk management knowledge and strong consumer, small business, and commercial lending skills.
- Has a sound knowledge of marketing, sales, financial, managerial, and leadership principles, along with a solid understanding of operations practices, policies, products, and the rules and regulations applicable to that industry.
- Is able to demonstrate strong business acumen with an understanding of the organization's priorities, goals, and direction as well as an ability to anticipate challenges.
- Possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills; presents a positive and professional image, effectively collaborates with diverse teams, and achieves success through other people's efforts in order to achieve positive results.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit or stand and walk. Travel to all branch locations required.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
