General Summary of Duties:

The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring that IT problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service. Reporting to the IT Manager, and working primarily at a hotel location, this role will offer exposure to Microsoft systems administration, troubleshooting hardware/ software, WiFi administration, and Office365 administration.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

  • Network troubleshooting including VPNs, firewall configurations, and Wireless Access Points
  • Windows 10 troubleshooting and configuration
  • Office 365 management and troubleshooting
  • Software troubleshooting and configuration
  • Printer troubleshooting and configuration
  • Physical hardware troubleshooting on workstations and servers
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Position Requirements:

    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
    • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
    • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Ability to provide high quality technical support by phone, remote access, and in person.
    • Ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously.
    • Technical expertise in service desk operations, network administration and/or a similar technological focus.
    • Computer operation, technical support, or network operation with customer support focus in a call center environment.
    • Basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP protocol.
    • Point Of Sale experience (as end-user or support resource)
    • Basic knowledge of Wi-Fi networking
    • Basic typing skills (minimum 35 words per minute 90% accuracy)
    • Experience imaging and deploying computers/laptops
    • A+ Certification or working knowledge preferred
    • Hotel Technology Experience
    • Marriott Systems knowledge preferred.

Education:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related major preferred, but not required
