LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Performance Dietician to join our team.

Location: Kingsley Field ANGB, OR

Background:

The Comprehensive Readiness for Aircrew Flying Training (CRAFT) initiative, launched in 2020 by the Air Education and Training Command (AETC), enhances pilot training through a holistic approach aimed at strengthening the physical and mental capabilities of Air Force pilots. Designed to tackle the demands of flying high-performance aircraft and modern aerial warfare, CRAFT integrates three core pillars into its curriculum: educational foundation, performance enhancement, and early injury prevention. This structured program extends across undergraduate and graduate training, enriching learning outcomes, promoting teamwork, and building resilience with value-added training touchpoints.

Aligned with the 19th Air Force Pilot Training Transformation, CRAFT utilizes the latest in instructional technology and teaching methods to prepare pilots for both current and future combat challenges. It also ensures a smooth transition to operational units, optimizing human performance continuity with state-of-the-art technology and effective data management, thereby advancing the Air Force’s human weapon system.

Scope of Work:

This role is tasked with enhancing pilot performance by implementing comprehensive nutritional programs that support both physical and cognitive functions. The Performance Dietitian is responsible for nutritional counseling, developing dietary protocols, educational outreach, and producing nutritional policy and guidelines. Activities include one-on-one performance consultations, group briefings, teaching meal preparation concepts, and developing nutrition improvement plans for student pilots, instructor pilots, and other warfighters.

  • Develop and provide performance nutrition content and materials for educational syllabi.
  • Coordinate and communicate nutrition programs with local leadership and target audiences, ensuring data quality management and adherence to DoD reporting requirements.
  • Conduct workshops and sessions on meal preparation and cooking, focusing on practical, nutritious solutions for high-performance lifestyles.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of HP professionals for the implementation of new protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in peer reviews and maintain detailed records of nutritional plans and progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • At least three years of experience as a performance dietitian, preferably within NCAA, Olympic, or professional sports environments.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). Certification as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) required or must be obtained within six months of employment.
  • Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
  • Pass required background check: National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
