Title: Scale House Coordinator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Compensation: $26/hour

Location: South End, Renton Base

Founded in 1999, DTG Recycle is the largest recycler of commercial, industrial, construction, and demolition materials in the Pacific Northwest.

The Scale House Coordinator supports the scale house supervisor, customer service manager, and attendants(weighmasters) who perform various clerical duties to support the scale house and sites, such as working at the truck weigh scale, answering telephones, quoting prices, taking customers’ orders, data entry, and filing. The ideal candidate has experience working with a dispersed team and ideally has some waste industry or retail experience. Must have a proven track record of delivering results, excellent communication and people management skills, and a drive to solve problems and create effective and efficient workflows.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Works directly with the CSM and Scale House Supervisor to ensure daily scale house operations are met.
  • Supports the Scale House Supervisor in communicating with staff regarding schedules, process changes, and customer service improvements to the CSM and yard bosses.
  • Communicates daily and weekly to yard bosses, leadership, and team members effectively.
  • Acts as a backup weighmaster floater for area locations.
  • Provides Quality Assurance for scale tickets.
  • Provides Training and Follow-Up to Weighmaster Team.
  • Enters Data into Encore and CRM systems accurately.
  • Supports training and follow-up to the weighmaster team.
  • Prioritizes administration tasks and meets deadlines.
  • Prioritizes Time Management.
  • Ensures all safety protocols are followed.
  • Reports operational issues to the Customer Service Manager when necessary.
  • Communicates consistently and effectively with other stakeholders in the organization.
  • Collaborates with other leaders in the organization to continuously improve operations.
  • Travels to remote locations and to HQ as needed.
  • Has excellent Teamwork skills and reliable attendance.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience with some supervisory responsibilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Bilingual preferred (English, Spanish).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Frequent and periodic speaking, reading (English), writing (English), recollecting, sitting, standing, walking, squatting, climbing for multiple sequential periods of 30 minutes or more; pulling, pushing, lifting 20 pounds or more at a time.
  • Exposure to weather conditions between scale house, office, warehouse and yard.
