The Cabinet, Order Writer is the main point of contact between the Field service managers and manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create unit type order lists per approved shop drawings. A list of all the cabinets and misc. pieces that will be ordered for a specific unit type in both as shown and reverse formats.
-Review cabinet drawings and countertop drawings to ensure overall dimensions are accurate
-Using field measurements provided by the FSM to see if modifications are needed to be made to any units
-Attend shop drawing meetings/Project launch meetings with AIS internal personnel to ensure successful project.
- Create truckload orders for production and for on-time deliveries.
-Work with Project Coordinators and Designers to gather documents and information needed to run a successful project
- Verifying millworks and setting the minimum and maximum wall ranges that work with the cabinet design.
-Responsible for doing an analysis of cabinets ordered and how to utilize cabinets on-site, if needed
- Creating orders for No Charge Replacement orders and Sample Orders.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A basic understanding of the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Self-motivation in project management and planning.
- The ability to follow processes.
- Customer service skills
- The ability to be a team player across departments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills for multiple projects.
- An ability to work independently.
- Minimum of 3 years in a construction environment.
- 2020 insight experience is a plus
